Obverse Books

Obverse Books was founded in 2008 by Stuart Douglas, after a discussion online about the lack of new voices in Doctor Who fiction.

Beginning with a hardback anthology of Iris Wildthyme stories (co-edited by Douglas and Paul Magrs, creator of the Iris Wildthyme character for the BBC Books Doctor Who series), Obverse has gone onto publish novels, photobooks, short story anthologies, and memoirs as well as the award-winning Black Archive series of monographs on individual Doctor Who stories (and its sister series, the Silver Archive, which examines other genre television shows in similar detail).
