Live at Jam Castle – One Eleven Heavy

As soon as I heard the first album from supergroup One Eleven Heavy I knew that they must be doing some amazing live shows. I hit Nick from the band up right away and told him I’d love to put our a live recording. all without ever hearing one. Well, they’ve now done two acclaimed studio albums and since then I’ve been tantalized by some amazing live footage on Youtube. So when I found out they were finally coming to the West Coast AND starting the action in Phoenix, I got on the case….

For those who don’t know, One Eleven Heavy are a team up featuring James Jackson Toth [aka Wooden Wand] and Nick Mitchell Maiato [Golden Lab Recordings] as the twin lead singers/guitarmen. Dan Brown [Royal Trux] on bass, Jake Morris [from Stephen Malkmus and The Jicks] on drums and Hans Chew himself hitting the keys.
